Why Houston is important to me: I have the opportunity to explore the meaning of diversity as it relates to municipal government, public policy, and the South. Moreover, Houston, Texas can serve as a model of how to promote, maintain, and serve a diverse community.

Something unique about me: As an undergraduate, I worked with a small, service-learning group that brought a campus-wide composting system to Davidson College, which was implemented the following year as a part of the Year of Sustainability.

What I’m Doing Now: I am an analyst in the Mayor of Atlanta’s Office of Performance Management.
