What I Worked On: I aided in the developmental and finalizing processes of the Kids Village project by providing informational and structural support to administration. I also assisted in creating strongly researched and detailed analyses, proposals, reports, and overviews to implement Kids Village at other HDHHS Health and Multi-Service Centers. Additionally, I supported the Emergent Needs Team by providing assistance with research projects related to nursing workforce shortages, surveying nursing and clinical staff regarding job satisfaction/job retention, emergency assistance activities and emergency preparedness activities.

Why Houston is important to me: In addition to growing up in the area, I really appreciate Houston for its diversity and culture. During my time at Houston Baptist University, I was able to serve this city and get to know its residents through several community projects. I am passionate about Houston and those who live here and look forward to serving as a Fellow.

Something unique about me: I love to cook and think it would be really fun to compete on Iron Chef.

What I’m doing now: I’m Deputy Regional Director for U.S. Senator John Cornyn, based out of the Houston, Texas area.
