Why San Francisco is Important to Me: I am excited to get a better understanding of the realities of the policy-making process in a national beacon of progressive politics. I hope I will be able to put the skills I have learned to use in contributing to the community here and learn new ones along the way. Finally, as a Bay Area native, I am excited to reestablish roots in the place I hope to make my home.

Something Unique About Me: I spent a summer volunteering with a women’s empowerment NGO in Nicaragua, towards the end of which I got lost on a volcano.
