My Hometown: Pacifica, California

My Education: Purdue University – BS in Natural Resources and Environmental Science

Selected Honors: 2014 Alcoa Foundation Bin Grant Award

Selected Activities and Community Involvement: I love anything involving nature, hiking, good food, and a view. I’ve had internships at NASA Ames Research Center, Ecology and Environment Inc., and the Sierra Club. I was the Vice President of Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity and Project Manager of my senior design team.

Why San Francisco is important to me: As a fourth generation San Franciscan, my roots have anchored in a vibrant and eclectic city. With family dating back to the mid-1800’s, this metropolis has given me so much that it only feels right to start my professional career working for it. I attended St. Ignatius College Prep in the Sunset before jutting off to Purdue for college. In the middle of Indiana I caught myself constantly staring at pictures of the Bay Area and its beautiful coastline, waiting for the time to move back and enjoy the perfect weather and scenery. I hope to never leave it again.

Something unique about me: I lived in a 14th century castle in the south of France for a month working on vineyards and have seen wild kangaroos in the Australian outback.
